I am using Landscape theme. One of my page shows blank. When I look in the dashboard area the page Visual tab and Text tab, all content are there but as soon as I look at view page I see the page blank?  Does any know this problem?  Here is the url http://www.ibiology.org/ibioseminarsbackup.html

    Thank you for your help.

Are you sure that you don't have it set to use an incorrect template or something? Or that all of the formatting has been stripped? No content is visible even in the source code, but instead of showing any of the standard content-sidebar div information, it's showing a div id of homepage.

    Hi Robin,

Thanks for responding to my question. When I look at this page in the WP dashboard – http://www.ibiology.org/ibioseminarsbackup.html   –  all the content and code are there. The page looks perfect in the visual tab.   When I copy the code and content and paste it in a new page, –  http://www.ibiology.org/ibioseminars.html –  it works fine.

To try to solve my problem, I saved the original page under a new name (iBioSeminarsbackup.html), and gave my new page the name of the original page, iBioSeminars.html. This would be fine, but the original is the parent of hundreds of sub-pages, and all those sub-pages now have the wrong parent page.

I need to either 1) fix the original page or 2) change the parent of hundreds of sub-pages. Is there a way to change the parent of a bunch of sub-pages by bulk? Or, does anyone understand what is wrong with my page?

    Here are the URLs:

http://www.ibiology.org/ibioseminarsbackup.html   (renamed page with the original code that shows up as blank)

http://www.ibiology.org/ibioseminars.html  (new, duplicate that works properly except for not being the correct parent)

    Thank you for your help,

    Lobsang

Well, the new page doesn't have that homepage div in it. I'd double check your page settings on the first one and make sure you haven't set it to be a different template (other than the default)...I feel like the issue is there somehow, not in the content itself, since the content is never being output.

Alternatively, if you select all the subpages when you are looking at the list of pages, you can do a quick edit and assign them to the new page so that it's the parent. (You may want to adjust your screen options to show more than the default 20 pages at a time) HTH

Thanks, but I checked both of the things you mentioned and no luck. The first page settings are just like the other page. I looked at every single selection item. For editing the pages in bulk, I tried your suggestion of using the quick edit with multiple subpages. The quick edit doesn't allow me to change more than one at a time. Am I missing something? Thanks for your help.

Apologies, quick edit was a misnomer. Select all of the subpages and then at the top of the list, look at the Bulk Actions dropdown. Select Edit from there and then click the apply button. It will allow you to change the parent page, author, template, status, on all of them simultaneously.

A "fix" that doesn't really fix this but still might solve the issue is to put in a 301 redirect from the bad page to the good version (a plugin like Redirection would do the trick: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/redirection/ ).
