Hi, I have a question as to updates...
There are some themes which were last updated in 2011 like Enterprise, Amped, etc. So will they become obsolete as newer versions of WordPress, or they just require an upto-date Genesis Framewok and we can keep using them forever. Thanks !

The Genesis child themes are basically a skin that changes how your site looks - all the actual functionality is contained in the framework itself. Changing to the updated child themes is like installing a whole new theme and you would have to redo all your customizations. It's perfectly safe to continue using an older child theme as long as your framework is up to date.
