Can anyone help me out, I have installed the latest version of genesis framework and have tried to install parallax pro child theme and it tells me that

"The parent theme could not be found. You will need to install the parent theme, genesis, before you can use this child theme.

    Theme installed successfully."

does anyone know what I might be doing wrong...this has never happened to me before...

Probably best to email support directly so they can make sure there's not an issue. There's not much anyone can tell you on the forums since we can't see anything in the backend of your site.

One thing to check is to make sure you installed the framework and not the sample theme by mistake.

    Cheryl:

I have found that deleting the Genesis Framework and re-installing it usually resolves the issue, but Julia is correct - this is a question for SP support.

Thank you Susan for helping me out! I did end up writing support as well. I had un-installed it and re-installed it a few times with FTP and wordpress upload, but then I added the child theme in, un-installed the framework, then installed the frame work using FTP and it worked!

    Thank you again for replying!
