No Header Menu in Genesis Theme Settings

Hi,

I'm quite new to Genesis and I'm looking through the PDF of Genesis for Beginners. At the beginning of that document they go through all of the menus that you'll find in the Genesis Theme Settings. According to the PDF, between the Default Layout and Navigation menus should be the Header menu. I do not have a header menu... it just goes right from Default Layout to Navigation.

Could it be the child theme that I'm using? I'm using Focus Pro. If it's not that, why would I be missing the Header menu?

I understand, you are talking about primary and secondary menus. For that goto Appearance > Menus section. There you can create new menu or use existing menu. Just check the primary / secondary option under menu there to be displayed at respective location.

If you are talking about showing menu next to header logo at top right. Then goto Widgets, drag custom menu to header right section and select menu that you want to display.

No, I'm talking about when I go to Genesis > Theme Settings, there isn't an option to do anything with the header. According to the beginners PDF, there should be Header options below the Default Layout options and above the Navigation options, but it just isn't there.

That header option depends on theme your are using. As such that Genesis Guide is showing screenshots of old Genesis version.

Since you are using Focus Pro theme, it supports custom header option. Look for "Header" option under Appearance menu to upload header image / logo. Still issue, update this thread.
