I really like the looks of the News Pro theme announced today and want to try it out and maybe switch over to it.

Our site, Oak Ridge Today (http://oakridgetoday.com), currently uses the News theme. Does anyone know if that theme will automatically upgrade to News Pro, or do I have to buy News Pro?

    Thank you,

    John Huotari

Themes do not automatically upgrade, and you'd need to convert or re-do any customizations you had from the old theme to the new version.

You should be able to log into your StudioPress account and just download the new version.

Thank you, Summer. That's kind of what I expected, but I wanted to be sure before I buy it.

If you had previously purchased the News child theme, you won't need to also purchase News Pro... News Pro simply replaces the previous version you had access to in your account.

Thank you, Summer. I can't wait to try it out.
