Hey everyone. I've contacted support, but I figure I'd post in here to see if anyone had a solution to this issue as well.
On mobile only (News Pro theme, I just switched themes a couple days ago) when a user comes to the site whether it be directly, social media, organic search etc when they begin to scroll it jumps the user all the way down to the bottom of the page.
I've tried some troubleshooting, disabled all my plugins down to the raw theme, still exists. Anyone else have this issue, and if you did, how did you go about fixing it?
https://www.stocktrades.caJuly 12, 2019 at 12:48 pm #492337jrobertsMemberI've also been having this issue on my NewsPro website - likewise, it's on posts with social media links.
If there are any solutions, I'd also love to know them!

July 12, 2019 at 12:55 pm #492338StocktradesMemberHey jroberts. Is this only on mobile? We have no issues on desktop.
July 12, 2019 at 1:17 pm #492339StocktradesMemberJust talked to support, and they asked me to check the demo to see if it's doing the same thing and it is. So this issue is definitely on the theme side. I really hope they can fix this fast.
July 14, 2019 at 11:17 am #492361jrobertsMemberHi - it does this only on my mobile site, as with yours. Hopefully you hear something back from them. It must be a problem of NewsPro (or some configuration therein)!
July 16, 2019 at 10:13 am #492387StocktradesMemberThe issue is in their footer widgets.
When I remove my menu widgets from the footer, the page jump goes away. I'm not sure why it would cause this. My menu's are simply terms of service, privacy policy and category type links.
July 16, 2019 at 3:22 pm #492392StocktradesMemberHey jroberts. I solved the issue, for me at least.
When you have more than 2 footer widgets active between footer 1 and 5, this is what causes the page jump. You can have something in say footer 1,2 and 6, or you can have something in 1,4 and 6. But as soon as you add something in say footer widget 1,2 and 3, the page jump occurs.
I have let them know this, and hopefully they find a fix because it is definitely a theme issue. It doesn't matter what menu I add, or what is within that menu. The page jump happens if I have more than 2 footer widgets active on 1-5.

I have this issue also. Can someone please advise on a fix?
I need to the use the footer widgets so I cant just not use them. Any help much appreciated.
Thanks,

August 2, 2019 at 9:27 am #492748StocktradesMemberSupport is virtually non existent on this Debra.
They claim they cannot replicate the problem. They tell me to send videos of it happening, so I do. Then they tell me to send videos of it happening on their demo site, so I do.
Then they just stop replying to me.
August 3, 2019 at 7:26 am #492772AnitaCKeymasterI've looked at both on my Android.
I see the "jump" to the top of the footer on exepose[dot]com. Could the owner of the website disable the sticky sidebar, clear cache and then we can take another look? On your website, when I use the developer tools, there is warning that is not present in News Pro.
This site appears to use a scroll-linked positioning effect. This may not work well with asynchronous panning; see https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Mozilla/Performance/ScrollLinkedEffects for further details and to join the discussion on related tools and features!
You may want to look into that further.
I checked stocktrades.ca on my phone also but I do not have the "jump" when scrolling. I've tried the home page and several posts and do not get that jump.
I've looked at News Pro demo and I do not get the jump. I also have News Pro on another website and looked there and there is no "jump".
One other place to look if you are absolutely sure it's not a plugin - is to check your scripts to 1) ad programs and 2) scripts you may have added the to either the Header or Footer Scripts under Genesis > Theme Settings. Scripts in those boxes can also cause this behavior.
Exepose is highly customized so you should probably look at your code, make sure things you've added to the functions or other files are loaded in the correct "order", i.e., they are loading in the right priority. Sometimes code you place at the bottom of the functions file, needs to be loaded up higher to prevent issues.
But from what I see, the issues are not theme-related, but related to either a plugin or manually added scripts, or some sort of error when loading custom code.

August 3, 2019 at 7:32 am #492773AnitaCKeymaster@99debra99 I couldn't check your site because you have not provide a link to it. Please make sure you post a link to your site when asking for help. Also include your theme name.

August 10, 2019 at 9:58 am #492922jrobertsMemberHi Debra,
Apologies for the delay. I've disabled the Sticky Sidebar and also purged my site's cache, but nothing has changed when looking on Android.
However, I wondered if it had anything to do with the Footer credits I have at the bottom of my page. I removed the "login/out" html text, and sure enough, it's stopped jumping. I can't quite work out the connection, however.
Is there any particular way to work out what exactly is happening, and when?
December 14, 2019 at 5:04 am #495501maaris_mMemberI have a similar problem with the same theme. Once the page loads, it jumps back to top as the user continues to scroll down. It happens on an android phone and tablet (on chrome and Samsung browser). It also occurs on PC windows ten10 if the browsers window is made narrow, on both Chrome and Edge.
And yes, it also happens on their demo page.I emailed support, and they confirm it is a known bug they actively work to reduce, but cannot give any estimated time.
I was considering buying the magazine pro theme since it does not show the same behavior on their demo site, but at the same time, it's a lame reason to buy a new theme because the current one, from the same provider, does not work as expected, right?
