    in your demo of news pro the footer has menu items but you don't show what widget or plug-in that you used in the documentation. You just show all the footer widgets and say that they are available. So, how did you configure the footers to get the demo footer?

    Did you try using custom menu widget in footer1, footer2 and so on. ?

    Yes...it stacks the menus vertically which looks very weird.

    I added custom menu to each widget and it appeared fine. See screenshot for reference.

    yes...it looks good when you have 2 items on the menu....but when you have 8 it doesn't look so good. So the only answer is to make a bunch of custom menus for the footer only. There's no option to show layout the menu horizontally.

    Thats how these widget areas are configured. Either you show multiple custom menus in each widget or put menu links via manual code.
