    Hello,

I have some questions about Studiopress and I hope someone can help.

    a) When I buy a theme, is there a Photoshop file included to give to a designer to create a design - easily and quickly? This would be awesome! eg. education or executive or executive them

    b) Let's say I use the parent theme (genesis) but use a not Studiopress child theme - can this be done or is this a big NO-NO?

Are there any risks involved in using other (not studiopress) child themes on genesis? (like this one for example: http://demo.qkthemes.com/oliver/)

I would like to have a super strong parent theme which I can update and keep secure and running. Any ideas? Thoughs? (and I like the studiopress child themes... dont get me wrong... I just like the other one as well... :-))

    c) what makes Studiopress themes so superior in SEO than other themes? Is it the clean code? And does it matter if I dont have a super clean interior of the childtheme (for SEO - like this one http://demo.qkthemes.com/oliver/) but have a strong foundation with genesis?

    I would appreciate your answers!

    Thanks so much!

    Marina

My answers, and others can chime in are:

    a. no
    b. you should use a child theme always. They have a free one called Sample which looks the same as Genesis.
You have to use a child theme that was made for Genesis. There are many out there that are not made by Studiopress, but it has to be designed to be used with Genesis as the parent theme. Oliver is not a child theme for Genesis.
    c. You can't use Oliver with Genesis. You can design a child theme for Genesis that looks like Oliver. I use Genesis because I trust their coding and security.
