MemberHi guys,
I have created a new website (in first phase, so more development in progress) for a Brewery in Amsterdam, build on Genesis Framework: brouwerijdeeeuwigejeugd.nl. The homepage is custom build. In the CMS there is a CPT for beers. The client can add beer name, light and dark artwork, photos of the bottle and glass, and information about the beer - ACF (https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/) is used for these fields. The home slider is build with slick slider (http://kenwheeler.github.io/slick/). Phase 2 aims to get loading times much lower (photos are too large now) and add a Google Maps for all bars that have their beers (Google Maps API and snazzy maps for styling).
Cheers, ppvanham

MemberSimple, clean and nice--like look and feel, also good photography. Wish the anchor for Bieren in the main nav landed on the 4 beer glass shots with a bit of the bottle neck of the first style barely showing. Also on iPhone 7 the video player doesn't show in the cutout--just the player's play button. Oh and it appears that the first illustration is a bit blurry in comparison on 4k display, know that's being picky.
What child theme did you start with or is this all custom coded? I'm looking to build something like this eventually. Thanks for sharing--Gary

MemberReally cool website 🙂
Just perhaps the contact form can be a bit cooler...
Maybe wrap it in the same half box as the sections above?

Member@Willian & Gazzerk: thanks for the feedback! I've noted the video player, doesn't look well now. Regarding the images: the image quality is a bit of a trade-off with performance. They are lazy loading, but still - since it's a single page set-up - the total load is quite high. At first for the homepage sloder images a css gradient background was used, but if we drop it (use one color) these images van be uploaded as JPG instead.
Most of it is custom coded. I've created a front-page.php and added some custom loops from different fields used for the CPT for the beers.
Cheers, ppvanham
