It's been over two months since there's been a new theme delivered. Has all of the effort for new themes halted while they shift over to the New Rainmaker project?

I don't know - that's probably a question best asked of StudioPress themselves.

Perhaps someone from StudioPress will read this post and reply.

No, I don't believe that's the case. Rainmaker is a new service offering that combines many of the Copyblogger products into a turnkey offering. You can still buy Genesis, host it on Synthesis, and run your own site.

This is for folks who don't want to roll their own and deal with the work involved in running a site. With that in mind, it has a lot of nice features. It also has a lot of limitations compared to your own hosted site, as you can't add plugins or a theme that doesn't run on Genesis. There are other issues with payments, backups and services that may or may not get resolved over time.

I've read a lot of positive reviews, and a few showed the warts in the service. It's not cheap as a hosting service alone, but it's more than just a web host and a theme. Whether it's right for you depends upon how you run your business.

All themes here are the same, why somebody need more of the same?
Fore me It looks like a scam. 40++ theme for only 399$.At First on this site I was impressed and wanted to buy whole package but with closer look I found out - they all the same, They don't cost 399. They don't cost even 100$.
Yes Framework not bad. But Themes are not Themes, its just small customization of the Framework.
You can say I'm wrong, but plz look at themeforest or codecanyon and you will se how Themes are looking now.

This not the place but, why stodiopress don't produce nice widgets for Visual composer like some some developers do?
For example nice looking blog-posts layout (widget) with round featured images. Now all this themes look outdated, and Framework could provide more features.
nowadays multi purpose themes gives you much more flexibility and look much better.

I've been configuring themes for clients now for 5 years. I only had to add one thing to my contract in those five years - that if they demand I use a theme from Themeforest, I am not in any way responsible if an update breaks the theme.
