Hey all, I'm hoping someone can remind me how to do something I've done years ago.

On one of our real estate websites, we have a 'blog' menu option that opens the blog for a different one of our websites in a new tab. Try it here: http://www.desertmountaingolfhomes.com/

I'm trying to do the same thing on yet another of our websites, but I can't seem to get it to open up a new tab when the user clicks on the 'blog' menu option. http://www.legendtrailrealestate.com/

I created a 'new link' for the blog menu option, gave it the URL and the title of 'Blog', just like on the first website at the top, but there doesn't seem to be any way to set a target="_blank" to have it open in a new tab.

We are using the AgentPress 1.0 theme on both of the sites.

Thanks if you are able to help.

    Hello ScottsdaleExpert,

To achieve the "opening in a separate page" effect do the following:

    Login to your wp dashboard
    Go to Appearance > Menus

You should be looking at your Menus section.

At the very top right next to the "Help" tab is the "Screen Options" Tab, click it.

From the dropdown that appears, make sure the "Link Target" checkbox is checked under "Show advanced menu properties"

When you create a new menu item or select your existing Blog Menu item, there will be a new checkbox called
"Open link in new tab/window". Make sure it is checked and you will be good to go!

Hello, yes this way works. Very helpful.

I double checked and this isn't the way I did it on the first site a couple years ago. Still stumped by how I managed to pull it off there. But no worries. This solves the problem.

Thank you very much for your help!
