I have done some customisation on the outreach theme and woudl appreciate any comments?

    http://www.rogerlapin.co.uk/

    Is it useable / helpful

I think I might need to make the phone numbers bigger at the top and add some social icons in there

I am just starting to convert the rest of an html based site over to wordpress, so have a long few weeks as I am 302ing all the old indexed content over to the new site.

Should be worth it in the end

    Roger

Site looks good but i would break up that large block of text on your home page into smaller paragraphs or even bullet points.

I'm not a web designer but when I see your site its really nice. The only thing I've noticed is the large gap in the bottom.

I agree with Brad. The big block of text on the homepage is unreadable to me.

For one thing, I can't read white or yellow text on a dark background. It screws with the rods and cones in my eyeballs. It's ok for a footer but not the body of a page with lots of text you want someone to actually read.

I would make the background color of that section a light color and then use a larger font with black text and break all the text up into readable sections with some paragraphs and a bit of whitespace.

    Just my humble opinion.

Why not try some nice Google fonts as well so it stands out! http://www.briangardner.com/load-google-fonts/

@rogerp it looks good. Like Brad stated, the paragraphs need to be broken down a bit. You could use the Column Classes and create two columns to fill up the space and to break it up.

Thanks for all the comments, most people seem to be saying about the big block of text, which is currently generated by a text widget, I will see if I can format it better, but it was just a copy and paste of all the text from the old site, but its lost its formatting

I will also look into the google fonts

    Thanks

    Roger

What happens if you check the paragraphs box or paste in HTML?
