    Hey, I'm looking to get some guidance on the correct way to add some functionality to the single post template in Genesis, specifically the Focus Pro theme. I want to add the post navigation feature that is on the WordPress Twenty Fifteen theme. At the bottom of posts (and in my case specifically a custom post type) the Twenty Fifteen theme includes a post navigation section below the post content. It is simply a pair of links, previous and next that link to the previous post or next post in the series.

    In the Twenty Fifteen theme single.php file it has the following array inside the loop:

    // Previous/next post navigation.
    the_post_navigation( array(
    'next_text' => '<span class="meta-nav" aria-hidden="true">' . __( 'Next', 'twentyfifteen' ) . '</span> ' .
    '<span class="screen-reader-text">' . __( 'Next post:', 'twentyfifteen' ) . '</span> ' .
    '<span class="post-title">%title</span>',
    'prev_text' => '<span class="meta-nav" aria-hidden="true">' . __( 'Previous', 'twentyfifteen' ) . '</span> ' .
    '<span class="screen-reader-text">' . __( 'Previous post:', 'twentyfifteen' ) . '</span> ' .
    '<span class="post-title">%title</span>',
    ) );

    How can I get similar functionality on the Focus Pro theme? Would I need to use the Genesis Simple Hooks plugin and add a similar array in the genesis_loop Hook? Or do I need to do something else entirely?

    Thanks!

    That's not how it's done in Genesis. Go through the docs:
