I purchased Author Pro because I liked the focus it would allow me to give on my site to the books that I have written. A blog is important for a writer to have, of course, but now I can have a books page, where the link to each book leads to its own page.

The biggest hurdle I had was, would you believe, figuring out the relationship on the Landing/Home page between widgets and the widget areas. That each area would be changed in looks depending on how many widgets you added to that area - and then, what kind of widgets there were. Whew!

What I did for my landing page was to create a new "Heading" page, and then I placed an image of my books, with some text, to pull in in Widget Area 1. I think it looks pretty good! I'm still working on tweaking things such as the footer text, getting some serif font to go with my old-fashioned look, making sure that when you google me, that each page's description comes up, rather than text that's ON the page, and so on. No deal breakers, as the page has a nice look and feel and visitors are able to get to each page, scroll and look about, and, most importantly, find out how to buy my books. : D

    Feedback welcome!

    Beautiful book covers ! 🙂

In my opinion, the homepage still needs work...

Most recent, library of books, coming soon -> should be the same height (images and text)

You repeated blog post 3 times!

Contact page -> consider adding a form, you don't want to leave your personal email out there of on the internet

MailChimp sign-up form on the contact page is also confusing!

Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

I agree with you about the most recent/library/coming soon images, that they should be the same. I'll work on that this weekend.

The blog post is the heading, but the blog posts themselves rotate out. So do you think I should not have a title above each one and let them speak for themselves as to what they are?

Will fix the mail chimp on the contact page, because you are right! It doesn't look like mailchimp should.

Also, I will figure out how to add my email without leaving it out there, so vulnerable.

    Thank you again!

    issues with footer credits:

use genesis simple edits easy to remove footer links and add your own custom footer.

images as above need to be the same size.

as for contact form just install ninja forms they have a default form set up for you and will fit style of your page.
