Hello everyone
I would really appreciate you opinion about my blog!I feel it needs more colour and styling, I am yet to learn how to add those to the sample theme...
any suggesions on how to go about doing this are very welcome...also if there is anything else I can improve on I would like to knowIf I did buy a child theme, I am not sure if I would be able to apply the theme effectively to my blog since I cannot do coding

http://easybitesonline.comAll paid child themes, studiopress and third party themes, come with documentation and are really easy to setup to look similar to the demos without using any coding.
In terms of changing colors and styles such as padding (spacing) etc, then there are two ways..
The way most of us do it is to amend the stylesheet, adding our own styles to the child theme. You can easily use tools like firebug to find the css code for which part of the website you want to change and then change it. Tutorial
If you're really not wanting to amend any sort of code, even css, there are now a few paid plugins which makes it really easy for beginners. Example is here. It is a paid plugin, but around the same price as a child theme would be. it depends which direction you would want to go with it.
Learning css may be a slightly longer way, but if you are intending on building more sites in the future, it is something worth being comfortable with.

I will probably try the longer route...since even if I install a child theme, it will look like the theme demo, not how I would like i to look...I would like to be able to style more sites in the future if I can...
If however I struggle....then there is always the child theme to go for or of course professional help...
firebug appears to good since I can use the split screen and see the changes I have made.really appreciate your feedback.

Hey there good work. A couple of critiques I have:
Social media icons.: That yellow is really harsh on the eyes and difficult to read.
Header/Top Ad: Also the ad you have above the header becomes the main focus and your header title/tagline take a back seat. I might suggest changing the height of that top ad or if you don't then increasing the font-size of your header/tagline.
