    Hey there,

I'm working on the Magazine Pro theme, and I was wondering how to move the post title above the image in the featured post widget on the home page?

Any help would be amazing- I'm just not sure how/where to edit this.

    Thanks so much in advance!

The easiest way is to install the Genesis Featured WIdget Amplified plugin - it gives you tons more options, including a choice of where the post title displays in relation to the image.

Hey there- I tried doing this, but then it doesn't display two of them next to each other, it just stacks them like the home bottom section does. Is there a way around this or is there some code to move the featured image or title?

You should be able to add a featured widget to the home middle area that displays two posts horizontally as described in the theme setup instructions: http://my.studiopress.com/setup/magazine-theme/

I know, and I do have working knowledge of how to work with most studiopress themes. But when I put in the featured widget amplified it will not display properly...strange, right? So, if there's another way to move the title or widget I'd love to try it.

I was looking for another issue and stumbled across your question. I haven't tried this, but it seems to address your problem.

Hello! I am looking for a solution for this as well. Googling is giving me the wrong codes and many dead ends. I tried the amplified plugin and although it did move my tile above the image, it also messed up my styling as well. Left aligned the title, changed the font and shrunk my author/date metas.

If someone could offer a non-plugin solution I will be forever grateful.

There's at least 2 ways to do this:

    1. You can create a custom version of the Genesis featured posts widget.

    or

    2. Install a extended version of the widget which includes the functionality you need.
