    Greetings - I'm using Modern Portfolio Pro.

    There is a lot of whitespace on the home page between the image rows on the widget 'home-portfolio and home-blog' featured posts areas.

    My page does not look like the sample. Can anyone please direct me what to fix?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Catherine,

    It looks like a plugin is adding custom padding from:

    .entry {
        padding: 50px;
    }

    You can override this with this CSS, placed before your media queries. Adjust the padding value(s) as you wish:

    .home #portfolio .post {
    	padding: 7px;
    }

    and

    .home #blog .post {
    	padding: 7px;
    }

    Hi Tom, that was fast!

    I've been struggling since you wrote to find the .entry 'padding: 50px; ' you referred to on the css stylesheet and cannot locate it. I would like to learn how to see which plugin is causing the trouble. Would you mind sharing that? I really enjoy learning from these snags.

    Are you saying to put the padding instructions (above) one time, on the css sheet, below all the theme colors - and at the top of the Media Queries section?

    Thanks!

    OK - HERE is the quick solution, if it will help someone else.

    In the dashboard, go to the Customizer, then: "Content Settings - Page and Post Padding" - there is a slider defaulted in my case to 50. I reduced that for less whitespace.

    Yes, with Genesis Super Customizer plugin installed that would be the case. This is not available as a theme setting.
