    Hi,

    On the Minimum Theme, how can I change the image / section on the homepage to be a featured post image slider section?

    Ideally... I'd like it to show the image and blog title... with say 150 characters of post preview. http://www.hayleywebb.com

    Thks!

    Use Carrie Dils instructions here - http://www.carriedils.com/add-slider-minimum-theme/2293.

    Thanks Anitac.

    Trying to solve this one still...

    Per the article...

    When I replace;

    echo ”; ‘<img src="'. get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/images/sample.j

    With this:

    echo ”;
    genesis_widget_area( ‘home-slider’, array( ‘before’ => ”, ) );
    echo ”;

    I get a parse error every time and have to reload functions.php.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

    Did you register the new widget area and add the widget to the home per her instructions at the beginning?

    Also, her code is cut off on the end of the line that you need to delete. The "pg" wasn't on the end of the sample.j. But you delete that line.

    echo '<div id="featured-image"><img src="'. get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/images/sample.jpg

    Replace it with:

    echo '<div id="home-featured"><div class="wrap">';
    genesis_widget_area( 'home-slider', array( 'before' => '<div class="home-slider widget-area">', ) );
    echo '</div></div>';
