    Is it possible to have summary only display on front page, for long posts?

    Settings--->Reading "For each article in a feed, show- Summary" doesn't seem to work.

    Use the Genesis > Theme Settings > Content Archives > Content Limit or Excerpts

    Thank you.

    Is there a way to get the ellipses at the end of the excerpt […] to be [ Read More ] instead?

    You can customize the excerpts in Genesis. Try this http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/post-excerpts/

    so i tried this one in the functions.php file, to no avail 🙁

    //* Modify the Genesis content limit read more link
    add_filter( 'get_the_content_more_link', 'sp_read_more_link' );
    function sp_read_more_link() {
    	return '... <a class="more-link" href="' . get_permalink() . '">[Continue Reading]</a>';
    }
