    Loving this theme, but I'd love to be able to "stick" a particular post to the top of the feed.  I'll be using it to hold some important static information.

    The page you linked seems to be for people who had made previous modifications to their theme.  The page linked to this one:  http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-display-the-latest-sticky-posts-in-wordpress/

     

    But where do I specifically add that bit within the Mindstream/Genesis setup?

    Log into your "all posts" page.   Then with the post you want to make sticky click "quick Edit"   On that menu you will see a box to click to make sticky.
