I'm using the Metro theme for http://www.SlowpokeDivas.com and I'm struggling with how the photo in the top posting appears as it moves down the page when new posts are added.

In the Genesis - Featured Posts/Featured Story widgets, home-top calls for 708x400 image size and home-right, home-left and home-bottom call for 150x150 thumbnails.

How do I set it up to have the original 708x400 jpg automatically switch to a separate 150x150 thumbnail jpg when it moves out of the home-top position?

    Thanks for your help!

Are each of your featured stories from a different category? If yes then you shouldn't have to worry about the size change as you only have one photo in the large image size category. Once you post a new one it will knock the old one off the front page. If you want to feature it later in another category further down on your front page it should automatically adjust the featured image -- but will most likely be wonky, in which case you'll have to crop and add a new featured image to get it to show the way you want.

I often assign different categories to one post (i.e. Feeling Good and Mind Games, plus subcategories). Maybe that's what the problem is?

Yes -- one of the issues is the resizing of the 708x400 to 150x150. WP appears to be taking the 150x150 from the middle of the 708x400, hence in some photos of the Ironman triathletes, their heads are "missing" (I know, I know, many people question their sanity but that's another topic LOL).

Will try using one category for a post and see what happens to the 708x400 image. Thanks MeMoe!

Just noticed one of the 708x400 images looking great as a 150x150 thumbnail in a post appearing further down on the home page. That's because the subject of the photo is appearing in that area being highlighted! I think I've got this partially solved. 🙂
