Hi. I am ready to give up on this theme. It takes way too long to create a post. I haven't been posting (even though I have several posts just waiting to be added) Images can be a real hassle and videos too ( I left it out of my last post and just added the link to the video). Ii add at least 1 image to all my posts.
Now I am having problems adding an image flush left and then adding text aligned left around the image.
All of my images inside the posts are 400 pixels wide.
(The images on the home page are 300 pixels wide.)

It starts out fine and then after the first row of text it adds it above the image. I have tried so many different things. I am using Add media button to add the image. Is there a bug with this (or maybe a trick to it?)

I would appreciate your feedback.

I used the text editor and never use the visual editor and here's what it looks like locally:

without javascript

It maybe a conflict with the javascipt you're using to track links and your social buttons, maybe not.

Looks fine on the archives as well.

Hi Brad,
Thanks for getting back to me. That post worked OK.
It's this post: The 3 Tips to Give Your Content Marketing a Healthy Boost ( not Published yet because I can't get it to work)

What do you mean the text editor and never use the visual editor?
I select Add Media Button and select the Photo and enter placemements. That doesn't seem to hold so then after it uploads the photo Ii go into the TREE Insert/Image editor and change it there. It used to work but after I upgraded the theme to the latest software it doesn't want to keep the changes.
Try that post . Thanks

Deb

You can insert the image in the text editor view rather than visual. This way you can see all the code which is added which may effect how your content is displayed. You can't see whats added in the visual view.

I'm not getting what you're saying so I just increased the size of the image, played with positioning and added more padding to move all the text under. They should really fix this so we can use the visual editor.
Thanks for your help!

[It doesn't want to make a new post so I'm leaving it under the last question topic of adding images.]

After I updated studiopress and wordpress recently I'm also having challenges with embedding videos.

I made a change to an older post cause the text flowed to the right instead of under the video like it was. Now the video is gone.
On another I just added a link to the video in YouTube.

What is the best way to embed videos from YouTube?
I've tried it 3 ways [3 tinyMCE icons]
1. Film Strip Icon : Insert/Edit Embedded Media
2. YouTube : Insert YouTube Video
3. Play button Arrow: Insert YouTube Video iFrame

I just want it to size at 600 W to cover whole column and let the text under it.
Here's my link:

Thanks!

Simply grab the embed code from Youtube and paste it into your text editor.

Hi Brad,
It still doesn't display.
After :
/ / ]] >
//

I replaced:
Chase Jarvis of CreativeLive

with the following :

But I don't like messing with the text editor. I don't understand why the visual editor doesn't work.
Funny thing the visual editor did work before the upgrade.

Just use this and change the width

Hi Brad,

Funny thing Ii added the code

changes the W 640 & H 360
Took out the existing code and I got 2 video players 1 under the other and the text ubder that was centered not flush left.

So Ii took out the code above and added teh original code
Chase Jarvis of CreativeLive

Refreshed and it looked fine. Just the one player.

But now I can't get the type to flow under the video instead of text wrap..
When I resize it the subhead: What Makes ... flows to the right of the video. How do I change this?

So for future videos what should I be doing? What is the quickest way to embed videos?

Thanks,
Deb

If you look at http://blog.contenttriggers.com/creativelive-from-a-100-startup-and-free-content-to-an-audience-of-millions-part-1/
Scroll down this post to the Chase Jarvis video. Then resize the window bigger and you will see the subhead "What Makes... reallign to the right of the video.

I can't seem to have it flow from the bottom of the video instead of to the right of it.

Also what is the best way to add video? It's so cumbersome and unstable. Too bad we can't use the visual editor. This is a bug right?
When i added the code to the Text editor like you said - 2 video players appeared. I had to delete the iframe code.
What should the procedure be to add video code?

In the post:
http://blog.contenttriggers.com/creativelive-from-a-100-startup-and-free-content-to-an-audience-of-millions-part-2/
Ii just added a link to the youtube video to save time and frustration. ( It appears in the Creativity is the new Literacy paragraph. "Watch the interview with co-Founder..."Here is the link to the YouTube video if you want to see what happens when you add video code.

Thanks

Here we go again.

Trying to add video unsuccessfully. I followed the instructions above. Added this thru the edit html source button. Nothing appears

grabbed this from the youtube codehttp://youtu.be/Fz435luc9JA

http://blog.contenttriggers.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1039&action=edit&message=10

This should not be so difficult. Video is used all the time in blogposts. I dont understand it.
Any idea why its not working for me?

Thanks,
Deb

I added Fz435luc9JA?hl=en_US&version=3&rel=0 to the script.
It now works but I have to refresh the screen to be able to see it.

Am I leaving something out?
