I am using Genesis Responsive Slider in the Home Top area of the Metro Pro theme. I have changed the slider setting to 1080px X 300px so that it is full width, but the home page still shows the widget area. I have installed Simple Sidebars and Simple Hooks. I need some help on where to go from here.
I feel like I'm missing a huge piece of the puzzle here. I wasn't even aware that Metro Pro had a slider option and just browsing some of the threads, a lot of people are talking about Genesis hooks. As a complete novice, can someone get me up to speed on this? I'd love to be able to add a slider (not full-width) to my home page.
Hooks - and the Genesis implementation - are powerful and relatively easy to use, even for novices. There are many topical threads on these forums and on many Genesis blogs. To get you started, have a look through these core references first. You should start a new thread for questions. (links are not active in this post to prevent this post from being spamblocked)
