I am posting this here to see if Nick can help me with the Genesis Featured Widget Amplied. My client's site is here. I have the Blog Page set up as s Static Home Page so we could utilize the Content-Sidebar-Sidebar layout since the Metro home page only consists of Content-Sidebar. What's happening is - when clicking Blog or the any of the Pagination at the bottomĀ or bottom of the home page - it will not paginate. Will not go to the Next Page.
So in testing this out I did the following - this is with the GFWA Active:
1) I went to the widget in Home Top (even though it's not being used at the moment) and made sure it had 3 posts to show.
2) I went to Genesis > Theme Settings - made sure that number was 3.
3) I went to Settings > Reading - made sure that number was set to 3.
4) Changed the Permalinks to Default. Will not paginate. I then did the following:
1) Went to Settings > Reading - removed the "static" home page and selected the Your Latest Posts.
2) It now works - but I don't have the Content-Sidebar-Sidebar home page layout that I need.
I then tried to Force the Page layout by opening the Home.php file. I modified "content-sidebar" to "content-sidebar-sidebar" and the home scrambled - probably because I have some custom code in there to flip flop the sidebars. So I reverted back to "content-sidebar".
So, in order for me to have the Content-Sidebar-Sidebar I want on the home page - I to have the Static Blog Page and need the pagination to work with the GFWA plugin - which it is not.
Any way to get this fixed? Because I need the plugin to exclude a category being rendered in the middle column.

May 26, 2013 at 7:50 am #42681AnitaKeymasterSo now, I've gone back and change the number to show 5 posts and pagination is not working.

May 26, 2013 at 7:57 am #42682AnitaKeymasterI've changed the permalinks back and forth under both scenarios and it's still not paginating.

May 27, 2013 at 5:10 pm #42835nickthegeekMemberStatic front pages will not paginate. You need to use the latest posts on the front page and edit the code that forced the layout of the home page in the home.php file if you want pagination on the front page.
May 27, 2013 at 7:22 pm #42846AnitaKeymasterSo I removed the custom code I had in there to flip flop the sidebars. I set it up for latest posts and look at the front. The NEXT link is in the middle of the page - Next to the title of Music Industry Addresses. It's not down below the posts. Also, I have it set up to only show 3 blog posts in the Genesis Setting and also under Reading but there are more than 3 posts showing.
Why is this not working right?

May 27, 2013 at 7:23 pm #42847AnitaKeymasterOh, and that's using the GFWA to get those posts on there. So I am going to remove that and see if they will show up properly now.

May 27, 2013 at 7:25 pm #42848AnitaKeymasterI removed the plugin and it's still showing more than 3 posts and the Featured Posts is set to 3. And the blogs are not formatted properly.

May 27, 2013 at 7:34 pm #42849AnitaKeymasterSo I got the pagination to work after I tried to force the content-sidebar-sidebar - it rendered an error across the top of the website. So I removed the ENTIRE CODE related to forcing the layout. Once I did that - the pagination works.... BUT, it is still showing more blogs than the 3 I have set. I have a 3 in all areas. The PREVIOUS and NEXT links are in the right place either.

May 27, 2013 at 7:36 pm #42850AnitaKeymasterWhoa! This is crazy! It works with all the blogs but you have to REMOVE the GFWA from the Home Top area. That has to remain blank.
