Metro Blog feed onto homepage

Site in question: http://www.newlevels.co.uk

Setup:
(1) News page is set up to be blog.
(2) Have homepage set up to show recent posts (not a static page)

Issue
Widget for Genesis Featured Posts won't show in Home Bottom (or any other widget for that matter).
Name of widget is latest news

Already tried:
(1) Following guidance on http://my.studiopress.com/setup/metro-theme/
(2) Checked that the 2 posts have got 'News' selected as their category.
(3) Even tried 'all categories' but it still doesn't pull it through.

Suspect it may be something to do with having a 'Homepage' for the homepage and a 'News' page to host the blog, but not sure how to correct.

Any ideas or guidance would be hugely appreciated.
