I've searched the internet over and cannot find a solution to this issue.

Is there a way to change links to downloadable media files (pdfs) that will omit the "wp-content/uploads/" portion?

I'm sure this has everything to do with WHERE the file is located. I feel like it can somehow be changed though. I'm sure I've seen other websites where this has been done. (Or am I trippin?)

Also, my favicon isn't show up on the tabs with the pdfs.

    Thanks,

    Carey

You would have to upload your PDF by FTP, in which case you can put it in the root of the site, or wherever you wish.

    emasai,

    I added a folder here:

    apismodernmarketing.com/assets/content-categories-and-calendar.pdf

When I put that in my browser, this is what I get:

The link you have means the assets folder containing the pdf file should be in the root of your site e.g. public_html and not inside your WordPress installation or theme folder.
