    Hi

    Using the childtheme "Minimum Pro". On the frontpage we have four posts with excerpts. It seems like it will only show the automatic excerpts and not the manual excerpts. How do we get it to show manual excerpts?

    I don't know if this is considered to be the "proper" solution, but commenting out line 98 in the front-page.php file is what works for me:

    //			'grid_content_limit'    => 250,

    Hi Shotgunshell

    Thank you, but I think you might have misunderstood me.
    Right now the excerpts are made automatically by WordPress/Genesis. It just shows the first 200 words from the text in the post. No line-breaks or anything. I would like to format the text - and that' s possible using the manual excerpts. I can see the box for writing the manual excerpts when I make a new post, and i can write in the box as well, but it will not show up. It still uses and shows the automatic excerpt. How can I change that?

    If you look at your Genesis > Theme Settings, what do you have set in the Content Archives section?

    If you select "Display post excerpts", it should display the manual excerpts, and only fall back to the automated ones on posts where no manual excerpt exists.
