"This site may harm your computer." is the message I got from google when someone Googled my site,
My web host scanned for malware and the results came back clean.
I submitted a review to Google webmaster tools multiple times and it always failed.
i manually updated all files and plugins but the review still failed. Finally I went to https://aw-snap.info/file-viewer/ and discovered malware in header.php of genesis framework. So replaced genesis with the latest framework theme.
Resubmitted for review...holding my breath

Any tips..let me know.November 13, 2016 at 10:45 pm #196119Brad DaltonParticipantWhat did your webhost use to scan for malware?
I suggest you install Wordfence and scan for malware. You may have a injection of a link which came through a outdated plugin so make sure all your plugins are updated and then reinstall a fresh copy of Genesis.

I would also install WordFence and run a system scan and proceed based on the results.

I now get the message
"Congratulations! No security problems were detected by Wordfence."
however the header image still pulls from the old site at /devAny tips much appreciated

June 18, 2017 at 7:00 am #207894staceyelleParticipantHow do we deal with so many genesis plugins that appear to be abandoned! This is a nightmare. ARE THERE PLANS TO UPDATE. I have removed all that were possible but this is rather disappointing to find so many items left to become vulnerable.
This is found with wordfence this week 06-16-2017. This is really affecting the reputation of Genesis products.
* The Plugin "Genesis Admin Bar Plus" appears to be abandoned.
* The Plugin "Genesis Easy Columns" appears to be abandoned.

June 18, 2017 at 7:33 am #207901staceyelleParticipantThank you Susan. Due to this thread mentioning the Wordfence defense plugin I thought it was relevant to inform the community of so many plugins that are not being maintained in this very threatening world of hackers. I have been hacked and the use of Wordfence has been critical to keeping my sites safe.
