    On Asian-Recipe.com, I want to alter the Header Right Widget area's size;
    - from the standard 468 width
    - to 728x90 in order to run GourmetAds banners...

    Despite some fidding in the style.css, I can't seem to get the Header Right size to adjust.

    I'd be greatly relieved if someone could explain exactly where to execute the required changes.... 🙂

    Hi Ben, I remember that website. Look for this:

    #header .widget-area {
        float: right;
        padding: 25px 0 0;
        width: 493px;
    }

    .... and you will more than likely need to change the title area to a smaller width to accommodate that adjustment:

    .header-image #title-area, .header-image #title, .header-image #title a {
        display: block;
        float: left;
        height: 110px;
        overflow: hidden;
        padding: 0;
        text-indent: -9999px;
        width: 465px;
    }

    Thanks, but I've already tried setting;
    - #header .widget-area to 730px
    - .header-image #title-area, etc to 230

    Strangely, nothing seems to change at all in the display! ????

    The 728x90 Header Right Ad box still scales the image display down to 493px ?— 61px

    Cheers
    Ben

    Clear your cache plugin and then deactivate it and try again. It's probably the caching plugin.

    Indeed, that was my suspicion also - I think WP Super Cache treats some files differently - including CSS, and clings onto them ferociously!
    - Used "Delete Cache" option previously but that made no difference.
    - Deactivated the plugin, checked all cache directories deleted
    - checked cache code removed from .htaccess
    - tested it in Chrome, IE and Firefox

    None of that has made a difference as yet, but I remain optimistic... 🙂

    Cheers
    Ben

    Looks like you have some Custom CSS in another area other than your Style.css. Are you using the Custom CSS under Appearance? At this point I am unable to troubleshoot without direct access. If you need freelance assistance to take a look, send me an email.
