Hi, i installed the mag pro theme onto my demo site here http://www.ipatrona.com/BYSC1
and after setting up the side bar widget for the featured post using sidebarthumbnails ... i don't get the correct size. I have removed the widget saved and reloaded and put the widget back in saved and reloaded but still shows the wrong size.

Try the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin - it will resize your images according to all the sizes in your theme's functions file.

When you upload an image to WordPress, it automatically creates several different sizes according to Settings > Media. Since Genesis uses additional sizes for its themes, you need to tell WordPress to go through the images and create the new sizes because they weren't created before. Hopefully that makes sense.
