We use Metro theme for a non-English weekly magazine, http://magazine.saarangabooks.com/
It's been 1.5 years since we started the magazine, and Metro theme served us very well. For quite a while we've been looking for two features. I thought I'd describe them here and see if you have any suggestions as to any plugins or theme enhancements that will get us these. Thanks for your helpful comments in advance.
1) We'd like to have a weekly archive page that displays that week's contents in the same way the weekly page renders. I am thinking a page where we'll have a cover image for each week and clicking on it will open up the archive for that week only, neatly arranged according to the feature headers, column bylines etc. For example see New Yorker archive page here: http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2014/08/04
2) Second, we'd like to have a feature that helps us create weekly PDF magazine from posts. We now have about 75 weeks worth of content - poems, literary articles, essays, interviews, etc., and we'd like to put them up in a nicely designed PDF file for each week and our readers can download them.
I am assuming this will involve some kind of WordPress/Genesis customization work and/or if there are any set of plugins that help us accomplish these two. I searched on the net a lot, but couldn't find anything that satisfies our above needs so I thought I'd ask here. Thanks!
