I work with authors and the new Author Pro theme was good to see. I had an author website ready for an update. The author was enthusiastic about trying this new theme as well, so we built a sample site and liked it even more. I'm not saying we won't go in and try to 'girl it up' a little, but out of the box, we're not unhappy with the theme. The application of the books/library is wonderful.
We're going to announce the new changes today.

    Looks great.

I did notice the viewport width of 1024 - iPad Landscape the header does not fit on one line. It is also covering the entry title partially. I usually center the header image or site title and then center the menu underneath that for that viewport width. Just a thought.
