Looking for suggestions

I am migrating across from Thesis themes, I have purchased the basic framework and am now looking for a child theme that would be suitable for my site.

I am looking for a child theme that would lend it self to displaying a slider (soliloquy slider) full page width on my homepage and the featured image to span full width for posts.

In short a child theme that will allow a large image at the top of my posts.

I realize that some modifications to the php and css will be needed.

Appfinite has some great designs. Newest is the Guru or the Ambiton. Lots of wigetized areas, full width home page image. His support is very good, personal, and prompt.

1. Adding a full width slider is very easy and something you can add to most genesis child themes. You only need a small amount of PHP code to hook in the slider. You can use the gensis_after_header hook.

2. Displaying the featured image full width of the content area before or after your entry title requires PHP and a small amount of CSS which you can also use with most genesis child themes.

I have decided to go with Ambiance and am busy configuring it.

I will live it for a bit, but I may like to replace the featured image on the home page with my soliloquy slider.
