I am using many Studiopress themes. Looking for a good gallery utility.
Have been using gallery2.org for a long time but not happy with it anymore. I want to install it as http://www.karnataka.com/gallery/
I have come across many galleries but not sure what to use.
I don't like the lightbox popup as I want to display the description of the photo, the page view counts, want to show advertisements.
I have used http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/ on another site, but don't like the lightbox feature.
Looking at the following,

http://upthemes.com/themes/gallery/ - seems to be good but this is another theme, not a plugin. Not sure if I can install it as /gallery with Metro theme. Having 2 admin logins for main site and gallery is a pain.
Looking forward for your expert advise.

The default gallery with Jetpack gives you both a Carousel and popular posts
Its a big plugin but that doesn't mean it uses lots of resources which depends on your server setup.
My homepage loads in under 1 second and i use it.
There's other features included that are useful
You can add it on its own if you like.
How fast or slow is http://www.karnataka.com ?
