I am so spoiled with Genesis, I am at a loss as how to proceed for a client who wants a searchable directory website, all 50 USA States, with health practitioners. All Directory Themes I have seen seem bloated and perhaps in the future uncertain of support. If I can stick with Genesis, I am looking into Gravity View (works with Gravity Forms) and have contacted them with some questions, just wondering if anyone has some ideas for me, I also found Business Directory Plugin, which seems to be supported. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Try looking at GeoDirectory. It's not a theme but a plugin and works with Genesis. I did an extensive analysis of all the directory themes out there and GeoDirectory has more features and capability. The styling can be a little clunky but that can be fixed.
It used to be a theme but had gotten big and bloated and about a year or more ago they broke it apart. The basic plugin is free so you can try it, then add on additional plugins plus support. The devs are in the support forum daily and the support is excellent.
My site isn't complete yet with GeoDirectory and Magazine Pro, so unfortunately I don't have anything to show you.
One note: Because GeoDirectory is geolocating, it won't work on standard shared hosting because of caching issues. The site will have to be on managed WordPress hosting.
