It's sort of annoying that when you log in you are redirected to the home page and have to navigate back to the forum.

This is a known issue that we have fixed a few times but it keeps coming back. It is actually a problem with the way the login redirect is getting written by bbPress that it causing a 404 error. It is something we are aware of and are working on. Sorry for the inconvenience.
