Does JetPack work on StudioPress themes? Yes.

But if you do some Googling on whether or not JetPack is "good" or "bad" you'll find some very strong opinions in both directions.

It seems that people either love it or they hate it.

I don't use JetPack myself...when I need a plugin I prefer to look for a plugin that doesn't try to do too much...I don't believe in something that tries to be all things to all people.

I am one of those that likes Jetpack; however, it is important to only enable the features you want to use.

In particular, I like the sharing and Publicize features, Stats, subscription, search, enhanced distribution and related posts. The Publicize feature is not for everyone, but there are a few sites that I manage where it is very helpful.

I do not use the custom css feature. There are times when updating Jetpack that it deactivates and requires a re connection with WordPress.com. I have seen this happen and not discovered until a few days later. I wouldn't risk temporarily losing css changes if this should occur.
