http://miamijediacademy.com/Just one thing; the image you have used as the background image for the first section of the home page isn't big enough. it doesn't cover the entire background on my screen.

Thanks. Are you referring to the vertical, or horizontal coverage? I know about the vertical coverage and we're going to put some text there or possibly some other image. The horizontal is per the specs given on the altitude theme.

The background image is over 200KB in size; I slashed it in half by saving it as a progressive jpg, losslessly compressing it, and got rid of that clumpy whitespace you put at the bottom to make it 1050px in height: http://i.imgur.com/E1xLBch.jpg. Try using this image to speed up your page load times, in addition to a plugin such as BJ Lazy Load.
My site (Webby's WebPrezence) in my signature uses Altitude Pro.
