I would like to know if there's any plan to update Genesis Sample for FSE capabilities. I know there's a block theme, Genesis Block Theme, but it is not a child theme. I would like to use a FSE child theme and still updating my Genesis Framework.
On the other hand, I think there is not any child theme with FSE capabilities right now, right?
I’ve been digging the past couple days and have only got a little bit of info.
Yes, they’re working on a FSE theme, but I don’t see anything like a timeline anywhere.
WP Engine/Studiopress just bought Frost, which is a FSE theme developed by Brian Gardner (and others). He founded Studiopress.
From what I’ve read, Frost will heavily influence, if not become the Genesis FSE theme.
The Genesis Slack group (genesiswp.slack.com) seems to be more helpful than this forum nowadays, which I hate, but there it is. There’s a #full-site-editing channel there.

From my understanding, in a block theme there would be no need for a child theme. You are either using core WP blocks or blocks form a plugin like Genesis Blocks. So updating the theme wouldn't override any customizations so long no theme files were changed.
With that said - has anyone used the beta Block Theme? https://www.studiopress.com/genesis-block-theme/
I have uploaded the block theme to play around with it, but it doesn't appear to be fully FSE. When I install that theme the FSE option disappears. Am I doing something wrong?
From my understanding, in a block subject matter there could be no want for a kid subject matter. You are both the usage of center WP blocks or blocks shape a plugin like Genesis Blocks. So updating the subject matter wouldn`t override any customizations see you later no subject matter documents have been changed.
