MemberAs a webdesigner, I only develop precoded themes and never used Genesis before. I found I had to take over managing and updating a lowcost website for a church, and I really need to do an upgrade to responsive, without having to totally rebuild, or advice on a suitable responsive theme to replace Metric. Since I am not a programmer, I am unable to fix the lack of responsiveness with this theme. The original developers who purchased the theme, are no longer available to contact, they might have had the StudioPress support helpdesk login, but I didnt inherit this info. Therefore I am stuck, unable to update this Metric theme, which is unresponsive to mobiles. I am getting warning notifications from Google webmaster tools about this.

I didnt want to have to rebuild the entire website, without first asking the theme authors, is there a fix for this issue. Can anyone point me in the right direction, is there a responsive css file I could add, to transform this theme into a responsive one? Or another theme I could purchase, that would not make scrambled eggs of the Metric site?June 21, 2016 at 5:57 am #187926Brad Dalton
ParticipantI would use one of the new HTML 5 child themes as they're all responsive.

MemberThanks Braddalton, would these WordPress themes you are suggesting already be built on Genesis? Because I was counting on keeping the formatting of that framework.

MemberHi thanks,
I would still like to know whether I can make this metric theme responsive without changing the theme, thereby costing less? Otherwise, if not, the outreach theme seems to be the nearest churchy type of theme you have. Do you have others available and just not showing on theme page? The most important thing is we need get header to be similar as old site, more or less.
Since the site is already genesis frame work, do I have to buy the whole thing again, i.e. $99? I really am a returning customer? I just dont have a log in. I can supply my login so you can see for yourself, and maybe supply me a login? Sorry I am not sure if you are able to action this yourself, maybe you can put me in touch with someone who could arrange it. So I can pay returning customer rates for this church? Thanks in advance.

ParticipantYou don't have to buy Genesis again. You can simply buy the child theme. Please contact StudioPress
To make Metric responsive, you would need to write the CSS for Media Queries which would require a fair amount of work and understanding of the theme.
