Here's two websites using News Pro, the demo site, and a legal website:-
http://my.studiopress.com/themes/news/#demo-full
http://www.halsburyslawexchange.co.uk/
Using Google Chrome, move your mouse over the menu bars at the top and the "buttons" will go totally black obscuring the text.
Using Edge or Firefox, do exactly the same and the buttons will go black but white text will correctly appear in the now black buttons.
I have tested this on two computers, both with extensions and without, so this is either a bug in chrome or a bug in News Pro?
How do I report this?
March 27, 2017 at 6:38 am #203867Victor FontModeratorIt's working fine with Chrome on my machine. Chrome has a very persistent caching system. If it doesn't perceive changes have been made to a style sheet, it will not re-doenload the sheet. You are probably seeing cached versions of the style sheet on you test computers. Clear Chrome's cache and hold the shift key down when you reload the page. This forces the style sheet to download.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?March 27, 2017 at 3:46 pm #203916SolicitorsMemberSorry, but you're wrong. I've now confirmed this on THREE different computers using the latest version of Google Chrome both with and without plugins. Here's some screenshots:-
This is what happens on http://www.halsburyslawexchange.co.uk/ when I hover over the menu item to the right of "about"
This is what happens on http://my.studiopress.com/themes/news/ when I go to the "music" dropdown menu and leave my curser over the second sub menu. The first stays white with no text and the second stays black.
This is either a bug in chrome or the child theme, and this isn't an issue in either firefox or edge.

You can flush your local DNS cache in Windows by following these easy steps:
1. Open Start menu
2. Click Run
3. Type cmd and press enter
4. In the command prompt type ipconfig /flushdns and press enterIt is advisable to clear up your browser's cache as well.
I built a website for a friend, and it continued to show ONLY the Registrar's "welcome page". Typing in the URL would not take me to the new website..even waiting a while for it to propagate. I use Chrome, and figured out the problem was on my end. I tested by using Opera Browser, using their VPN (giving me a new IP address) and was able to easily go to the new website and to log in. Went back to Chrome and ZERO.
Once I flushed the DNS, back to normal. I agree...Chrome has a very, very aggressive Cache..makes it fast, but it's something to be aware of.
