A blogger hired me to fix her design after she was hacked and then duped into SiteLock. SiteLock mangled her blog, and when I went in to fix it, it turns out the still hacked. When trying to change themes, the customizer screen just shows "Hacked by FOXILITRIX EL"

I tried running WordFence and Sucuri, and both said it was clean.

I know nothing about fixing a hack, and the quotes we're getting this morning are understandably around $300.

She just got scammed out of that much, so I'm thinking it would be better to just start her over on a quality host and get her away from GoDaddy rather than trying to fix it where she is.

This is what I don't know though: is it safe to download the export file of her content?

Unfortunately, she has 7 years of blog posts, I'm not sure she'll want to re-write them all. 🙂 Is there another way to copy old content besides an export file?

Try downloading the files and running them through a few anti-virus programs like Panda and/or Avast - Both are Free and Highly Rated.
