It has been nearly 2 years since Genesis Framework was updated.
The latest update disabled the new WordPress v.5.8 functionalities due to incompatibility that was never implemented. And it seems like StudioPress focussed on Genesis Blocks instead...

With the nearing 2024 and the WordPress v.6.4 mainstreaming, I wonder...

    Is Genesis Framework still alive?

And The Genesis Shapers have not been published since September 2021...

Same question here - Has Genesis been abandoned? Is it time to move on to a new provider of themes?

Support for legacy themes is important!!!!

    Hi, same question for me.

The previous week a site with Altitude Pro theme has crashed at the automatic upgrade to WP 6.4, so I restored backup and blocked upgrades.

Altitude is the only theme remained in my StudioPress profile, all the others were abandoned, and I have some sites with Millenium theme too!!!

I don't think it's sane to buy some other Studiopress theme in this conditions.
Support for legacy themes is important...but none respond here!!!

So all my know how on Genesis, coding too, go to die. Ten years into the wc

I'm seeing that the Framework was updated in January 2024 Genesis Framework
Type: StudioPress Version: 3.5.0 Updated: 1/22/24

The Genesis Sample Child Theme hasn't been updated since 12/19/22, however.

And - don't laugh, I guess I'm still in the dark ages but I build good sites lol - I'm looking for an alternate to Dreamweaver too. I typically take the Genesis Sample theme, I have recoded it to more of my preferred specs and then for clients, I copy that and recode the CSS (and sometimes a few PHP files) for their fonts, colors, layout, etc.

I started to experience some glitches with uploading the style.css files to my server using the Dreamweaver FTP (again, yes I know it's a dinosaur but it's still been fairly convenient for my process) ...

So, my question is, what is everyone else using in place of Dreamweaver to easily view and edit files (css, PHP, etc)

And, if the Genesis Framework is no longer best in show - what are we using instead now for WordPress?
