Extracting and even copying the downloaded Genesis 2.0.0. zip file on my local PC-machine (Windows 8) fails. Therefore cannot unzip and transfer the genesis file through FTP to my site’s wp-content/themes directory. Received no link in my WP-dashboard for 1-click update. Any idea ?

Go to your online dashboard. Click Genesis > Theme Settings - put a check mark in the box that says receive updates. Save it and the Yellow bar will show up at the top.

Already put a check mark in the box "Enable Automatic Updates" and saved but Yellow bar at the top doesn't show. Received and installed Genesis 2.0.0. for this site "webtourist.info" already earlier on another url and different server (webtourist.biz) successfully. Second website-installation on another server and url is for security and (plugins) test reasons. May this be the reason for not prompting the Yellow bar in the other url-adress: webtourist.info?

Therefore I tried installing Genesis through FTP to my directory which fails.

Managed installing Genesis 2.0 through FTP to my server directory; it runs fine now!
