    I’m trying to configure the Responsive Menu plugin. The instructions say:

    Insert the following shortcode in your theme where you want the menu to show (which is normally in the header, i.e. header.php)

    echo do_shortcode('[responsive_menu_pro]’);

    The only .php files I can find are:

      functions.php (the developer, who’s not familiar with Genesis, says this is not the appropriate file)
      home.php
      theme-defaults.php
      page_landing.php

    Can anyone please help me with this?

    What happens if you add the shortcode to a text widget in the header right widget area?

    You might also need to add support for using shortcodes in widgets.

    Something like this:

    add_action( 'genesis_header_right', 'hook_menu' );
    function hook_menu() {
    echo do_shortcode('[responsive_menu_pro]');
    }

    Brad, thank you for your suggestions, I really appreciate your help here. Unfortunately I'm a bit stuck because eleven40 Pro doesn't have a header right widget:

    On 3/3/14, eleven40 pro was updated along with other StudioPress themes, but eleven40 pro received a few bigger changes. The Header Right widget area was dropped; if you specify a primary navigation menu, it appears in the space formerly occupied by this widget area. In addition, the theme now supports a mobile-specific menu.

    Can you suggest a way around this?

    Yes, i also posted some code above you can try which uses the same hook however you might need to use CSS to position the menu.

    Also, you can filter the nav menu and add the plugins function call to the filter function.
