I am using this theme and love it - except with mailchimp unless you use their workaround you cannot get the subscribe buttons to show in your optin forms.

    Workaround - http://spyr.me/docs/widgets/subscribe-mailchimp/

Has anyone found a workaround to this? When I follow their instructions I cannot have my plain MC code show - the theme subscribe widget design takes over and it is not what I want, but without their workaround there is no subscribe button.

    Hi,

if I see it correctly, you found the work around of pasting the mailchimp code into a text widget.
Another popular solution is to use the Genesis eNews Extended plugin.
