    Can anyone help me figure out why ...

    Migrating blog from Thesis to Genesis. I'm developing locally so I can't show you.

    Some of my images are showing up in blog posts and thumbnails - but not all. I KNOW I put them in all the same way.. the Thesis recommended "thesis_post_image" . Why are some showing up but not all?

    You can look at the Thesis version of the site here: http://www.sharinghousing.com.

    For the amount of time trying to figure this out I might do better to just do the grunt work of inserting the photos in the blogs .. 176 blog post, not so many.

    Still I like knowing..

    THanks

    1. You can explicitly define new image sizes in the Genesis theme. Refer - http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/images/

    2. Once you are done with image size changes, run regenerate thumbnails plugin to automatically generate images of new sizes. https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    Thanks for writing, but that doesn't make sense?? All my images ARE the same size. i always made them in PS and uploaded them. Are you suggesting that different sizes would cause some not to show up?

    Thanks,

    If they are not showing up at all I don't think that is related to the image sizes. I am not familiar with thesis, but I am betting that it has something to do with thesis_post_image as naturally when you switch to Genesis that is no longer being recognized (whatever it is). I am just taking a shot in the dark here as I have no knowledge of how thesis is set up.

    This seems like it might be related too:

    I understand, some images in posts don't show on WP that you setup on localhost - correct?

    Check if import was successful. Try to run import once again. As such, images added in posts are not dependent on any theme - unless thesis has some crazy thing going on (sorry, not used thesis)!

    @davinder - Yes, I think some crazy thesis thing is going on. The images are all in the library.

    @brock
    - good hint. I'm not much of a PHP coder. I too found the code canyon plug-in. I'm not sure what the dangers are of trying it?

    What's interesting is many of the images ARE showing up - just not all of them.

    Do any of those images that aren't showing up have any kind of weirdness in their file names? Is there anything else you can see, such as file sizes, file names, file formats, etc., that's different from the ones that *do* show up?
