    Hello,
I am using Genesis Sample and Atomic Blocks.
Image responsiveness on my iPhone 6 is awful.

The image in the header is tiny rather than filling the space. (it has gradient css for background).
An image utilizing short code for rotating images, overflows and does not size to the screen.
The text in the column to left of the rotating image, overflows to the wide of the rotating image, rather than resizing to the window.

And finally, the footer is resizing to the image that is tiny like the header image, rather than filling the space. (it also has gradient css for background).

Any ideas how to make this look presentable?

You've used Genesis Sample to create your own layout. As such you need to add in the CSS for all of your custom blocks that you've created. The Sample responsiveness was set for just the Sample out the box. It's up to each user/customer/designer to then add their own mobile responsive CSS for all of the custom work they added.

That's why it's better if you use a child theme
