    I loaded a custom IE stylesheet through my functions file and when I view source I see this:

    <!--[if IE]>
    <link rel='stylesheet' id='custom-stylesheet-css' href='http://companytheatre.com/wp-content/themes/outreach-custom/ie.css?ver=2.1.2' type='text/css' media='all' />
    <![endif]-->

    I want to move the genesis-responsive-slider to the top of the page because on IE it is being pushed down under the logo. Just to test my IE stylesheet, I have used the following code but it doesn't work:

    .content #genesis-responsive-slider {
    display: none!important;
    margin: -500px auto 0!important;
    }

    So there are two issues going on that I would love some help with. 1) loading and verifying that a custom IE stylesheet is working; and 2) moving the genesis-responsive-slider to the top and behind the logo of the home page on IE (it only gets moved down on IE).

    Thanks!
    Amy

    Hi,
    Whoa, a lot of !importants in there! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    I think your code is actually "working", but IE, being the schmuck that it usually is, does not cooperate. I think the negative top margin can work in IE, but would probably need 5 more adjustments elsewhere. Ain't we got fun? ๐Ÿ˜‰

    You could try this instead in your IE file. You may need to play with the numbers:

    .home-top {
        position: relative;
        top: -220px;
        margin-bottom: -220px;
    }

    This stuff may also work on the normal CSS, but I'd probably leave well enough alone.

    Cheers, Dave

    Thank you for your response. Your code works great for IE 6-9 but I just learned that IE 10-11 don't support conditional stylesheets so that is why I wasn't seeing it.

    Amy,
    I didn't know that, thanks for the head's up. I don't use conditional sheets at all anymore. Fortunately, there are multiple ways of doing things.

    So for my method, you could try using my code on the regular side. You may need to adjust some of the other figures, like some of the margins.

    Good luck, D
