    Hello,

I've currently reached the 2,000 limit that mailchimp offers for free. I love mailchimp, as its easily integrated with a variety of plugins onto my genesis theme but the problem is I don't really use it for newsletters, I simply use it as an alternative to what feedburner use to offer for free and mailchimp is quite pricey for this purpose.

Is there anything I can use for such a big subscription list, one that I can import this list and only serves the purposes of notifying via email ?

    Thank you

There are not many such 'free' services. However, you can check these - http://www.cmswire.com/cms/customer-experience/3-free-feedburner-alternatives-017516.php

None of the RSS-to-Email services that are guarded against being flagged as spam by ISPs are free... MailChimp, Aweber, Constant Contact, iContact, FeedBlitz, all of them charge to send emails because it uses a lot of server resources to house those mailing lists and send all those many tens of tens of thousands of emails.

You may not think of them as newsletters, but email notifications of site updates are in fact a type of newsletter update. And maybe that's one of the many reasons Google killed off FeedBurner, because they preferred to eliminate that feature rather than go through the hassle of monetizing it.

I'd be interested to know if you find anything, though, but these days MailChimp's 2000 is the only one I know of.
